The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, invites online applications for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11. This recruitment drive aims to fill Group-B Nursing Officer positions at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix (pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-) across various participating AIIMS institutes in India.

📅 Important Dates
- Online Registration Start Date: 24th July 2026.
- Online Registration Closing Date: 13th August 2026 (Up to 5:00 PM).
- Deadline for NOC Submission (for govt. employees): 18th August 2026 (Up to 5:00 PM).
- Stage I (Preliminary) Online CBT Exam: Saturday, 12th September 2026.
- Stage II (Mains) Online CBT Exam: Wednesday, 30th September 2026.
💼 Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years of age.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxations apply for reserved categories, such as 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PWBD candidates, based on the closing date of the online application.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants must hold a B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Post-Certificate), or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from an Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University.
- Alternative Qualification: Candidates holding a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized Board or Council are also eligible.
- Experience Requirement (For GNM Candidates): GNM diploma holders must possess two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital, acquired after obtaining their educational qualification.
- Registration: All applicants must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with a State or the Indian Nursing Council.
📝 Application Fees (Non-Refundable)
- General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 3000/-.
- SC/ST/EWS Candidates: Rs. 2400/-.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWBD): Exempted from fee payment.
- Fee Refund: The application fee for SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded after the declaration of results and verification of their certificates.
🏆 Selection Process & Exam Scheme
The NORCET-11 examination consists of two successive stages:
- Stage-I: NORCET Preliminary: A qualifying 90-minute examination consisting of 100 MCQs (100 marks). It includes 20 MCQs on General Knowledge & Aptitude and 80 MCQs on Nursing courses. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
- Stage-II: NORCET Main: A 180-minute examination consisting of 160 MCQs (160 marks) focused on case scenario-based questions to test nursing skills competency. A negative marking of 1/3 mark applies for each wrong answer.
🛠️ How to Apply & Key Notes
- Application Portal: Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the official AIIMS examination website at www.aiimsexams.ac.in.
- Gender Reservation: As per the Central Institute Body (CIB) decision, 80% of the seats at participating AIIMS institutes are reserved for females and 20% for males.
- NOC Requirement: Candidates currently employed in Government, Semi-Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must mandatorily obtain and upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
